Ranweli Holiday Village is situated on the west coast of Sri Lanka, 18 Kms. from Colombo International Airport and 40 Kms. from Colombo.
Our History
Ranweli is considered an example of a property built more than 25 years ago for traditional “sun, sea and sand,” which has completely transformed itself to become a model of environmental leadership and practice. The property was constructed in 1975 with 100% local material on the concept of a Sri Lankan village. It was refurbished in 1996 to the standard of an international eco tourism facility and developed to provide facilities to offer an authentic soft-adventure experience, together with comfortable and rustic accommodation in idyllic surroundings.

We protect the natural habitat where the business operates and conduct our business in an environmentally friendly manner, by efficiently using our resources – water & energy – and effectively managing our waste – solid & liquid waste & emissions – to minimize the impact on the environment and human beings.
By regular meetings and written communications, we make our employees, guests, suppliers and the public aware of our objectives. We evolve and maintain systems that will be continually improved and reviewed to achieve our short and long-term objectives.
